Hi, I’m Natascha
I am Natascha Polomski, the person behind Turn Up the Frequency Vibrational Wellness here on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. If you’ve been looking around my website wondering how self-trust, awareness, BioEnergetic Wellness, and sound all fit together, that’s a fair question. It took me a while to see the connection myself.
These days I describe my work as Self-Trust & Awareness Guidance. In everyday language, that means I help people pay attention to what they already know about themselves, especially when life gets so busy or overwhelming that they start questioning everything. We talk, we explore, and sometimes we use different wellness practices. There isn’t one set way of doing it.
I didn’t start out with this job title
Looking back at my younger years, I remember how much I enjoyed spending time at my father's veterinary office. I liked being around the animals, watching what was going on, spending time with my father, and helping out wherever I could. I wasn't thinking about healing or wellness back then. I simply enjoyed being involved and being able to contribute in whatever way was needed.
My interest in healing and wellbeing developed much later, through my own experiences and the questions I began asking as I got older. That's when I started exploring different approaches, including Ayurveda, Therapeutic Touch, sound work, Touch for Health, and eventually BioEnergetic Wellness. Some things made sense right away, while others left me with more questions. And I suppose that's part of what kept me learning.
It's interesting to look back now and see how things connect. I didn't have a plan to become a wellness professional, and I certainly didn't know that awareness and self-trust would eventually become the focus of my work. But being curious, getting involved, and wanting to be helpful have been part of my life for a long time.
When I began working with people, I thought a lot about helping them relax and feel less stressed. I still value that. But after years of sessions, workshops, and conversations, I noticed something else. People would begin to recognize things about themselves that had been there all along. Sometimes it was a physical response. Sometimes it was a feeling they had ignored, or a moment when they realized they did have a choice. Those moments made me curious about awareness itself.
That curiosity has changed the direction of my work. I haven’t left the earlier approaches behind. They’re part of how I got here, and I still use them when they fit. I’ve simply become much clearer about what matters most to me: helping people notice their own experience and become more comfortable trusting it.
What it’s like to work with me
I’m not going to tell you that I have all the answers, because I don’t. And I don’t know your life better than you do. What I can do is ask questions, share what I’ve learned, and give you room to explore without having to come up with the perfect explanation or decision on the spot.
I often say, “I work with you, not for you.” That really is how I see it. We might start with what’s been stressful lately, something you keep second-guessing, or a feeling that things are just a little off. From there, we pay attention to what comes up and see what might be useful. You can question things, say no to an approach, or change direction. It’s your experience.
Why I talk so much about awareness
Over time I began putting words around what I was seeing in my work. That led me to develop the Awareness-to-Alignment Process: Notice, Recognize, Regulate, Re-align. For me, those four stages are a way of thinking about how we move from noticing something to deciding what, if anything, we want to do with it. It isn’t a checklist, and it certainly doesn’t mean every situation needs to be fixed.
I also developed the Self-Trust OS (Operating System), which examines five areas that influence the choices we make: Signals, Direction, Intention, Capacity, and Community. These are ideas I continue to develop through writing, practice and research. They help me explain my work, but you don’t need to know any of the terminology to work with me.
The learning behind the work
I have a Master of Science in Complementary and Integrative Health with a concentration in BioEnergetic Wellness, and I’m continuing my doctoral studies in Complementary and Integrative Health at Akamai University. My professional training includes Therapeutic Touch, Peter Hess sound work, Touch for Health, and Ayurvedic wellness. I’ve also had the opportunity to learn from people such as Dr. Mary Jo Bulbrook, Peter Hess, and Dr. Michelle Greenwell, whose contributions to my professional development I value.
I enjoy the practical side of this work just as much as the learning and research. I’m interested in what people actually notice in their everyday lives, not only in what looks good on paper. I also think it matters to be clear about the difference between personal experience, professional observation, and findings that have been tested through research. There’s still a great deal to explore.
Where we go from here
If you’re curious, you don’t have to choose a technique or arrive with a clear goal. You can start by telling me what’s going on, what you’ve been noticing, or what you’d like to understand better. We can talk about whether individual guidance, a vibrational session, a workshop, or something else makes sense for you.
My work is complementary and educational, rather than medical treatment or psychotherapy. If you want to know more before deciding, that’s absolutely fine. Questions are welcome.
